Mike McCormick is a musician, a songwriter, a metallurgist, a performer, a father, a podcaster, a blogger, a sports fan, and a very poor website updater.

He’s one of the founding members of the Arrogant Worms www.arrogantworms.com¬†Canada’s foremost musical comedy trio. With the group he has penned such classics as “I am Cow“, “Pressure Washer” and “River of Snot

He received his Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen’s University in 1993. People still rave about his thesis, “Precipitation Effects in Microalloyed Medium Carbon Steels”. Many heavy metal fans still eagerly await a follow up single.

He blogs about songwriting, tennis and most recently about his new job as a church organist .

He lives in the Ottawa Valley with a spouse, 2 kids, a dog, a cat and various woodland creatures. He wishes he had better hair.

First of all we miss you MCing @ the Open Mic night @ the now defunct Neat Caf√©! Any chance you could reprise your role and that entertainment offering, say, at the Valley Heritage Radio stage? We’ve suggested it to them and now to you. Hoping we can keep that sort of a “window” open to Valley talent as we so enjoyed you, and the many people who showed up @ the Neat to share their various talents. Just putting it out there… Best,
